A recent article on the DSA(Direct Selling Association) was very informative on describing their process when they get a complaint. Complaints that come to the DSA could be either about something a sales rep (with a particular company) did, something a company did to a rep, or something a member company of the DSA did to another company.

Noted Herbalife outside analyst (in Wall Street terms...a ‘bull’) Tim Ramsey of Pivotal Research gives Herbalife a positive recommendation for investors citing the way Herbalife runs their business as compared to Vemma. In the light of news of Vemma’s present predicament with the US FTC, Tim has even raised his price target on it following the news that competitor Vemma is under investigation. In doing so, Tim does make some excellent points about how Herbalife's business model appears to be better than Vemma, although there are a few things missing.

It’s unfortunate that members of a reputable, global MLM company, headquartered in a democratic, capitalistic country, would feel the necessity to go to the nation’s capital to ‘explain themselves’, but most likely Herbalife felt they had no choice considering that they aren’t totally out of ‘hot water’ with the ongoing FTC investigation or the nation’s press yet.
