At this year’s USANA International Convention from August 25-28, the company was one of the first nutritional supplement manufacturers to introduce a product that is utilizing the so-called “hybrid technology”. With the help of this process, USANA is able to combine two different formulas in one tablet. This allows advanced active ingredient combinations without compromising product quality. For the consumer, managing the personal nutritional supplements gets easier since fewer tablets have to be taken. At the Convention the two new formulas “Proflavanol® C100“ and “Hepasil DTX™“were introduced. Proflavanol combines high-performance proanthocyanidins made from grape seed extract with highly-concentrated vitamin C to promote the health of the cardio-vascular system, the immune system and for a healthy looking skin. An internal USANA study found that the combination of grape seed extract and vitamin C in „Proflavanol® C100“ provides long-term anti-oxidant effects and better protection than when the ingredients were to be consumed individually.
 
With this technology, USANA also improves the Hepasil DTX formula with new ingredients supporting the liver and improving the body’s own detoxification. That is probably only the beginning.
